Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana on 14 April1976. Monroe Christian School was her private Christian primary school. For her secondary education, Ward began at Ouachita High School, but was later moved to River Oaks High School during the summer right after her junior year. A short time after her graduation she attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward, then 13, was modeling when she quit school. After graduation, she relocated into New York to pursue this profession. Her acting career began after a few years further down the line. The first time she was cast without credit in the 1970s on the soap opera All My Children. Later she was a part of the short-lived teen drama on NBC's prime time Malibu Shores. Ward landed her first role on the Sunset Beach daytime soap opera, where she played the virginal Meg Cummings. The ABC Family drama series Make It or Break It's principal cast for its first two years, Chloe Kmet played the mother of a young gymnast in the 2009 season.
